Afterword: The new covenant

The new covenant is central to the Bible's message of redemption. In Jeremiah 31:31-34, God promises to write His law on His people's hearts, restore their relationship with Him, and forgive their sins. Christians understand Jesus' death and resurrection as establishing this promised covenant. Through Him, believers receive forgiveness and a renewed relationship with God. The new covenant involves more than an agreement: It brings inward transformation and expresses God's faithfulness, love, and mercy.
