The Relevance for Today of Genesis and Exodus

Genesis and Exodus remain relevant today. Genesis introduces creation, humanity's origins, and God's covenant with His people. Its accounts invite reflection on human nature, moral responsibility, and our relationship with God. Exodus recounts the Israelites' liberation from slavery in Egypt and emphasizes God's deliverance, covenant, and guidance. Together, these books help readers consider ethical questions, perseverance, justice, and freedom. They also provide essential background for understanding the rest of the Bible.
