Afterword

The Book of Hebrews and the three letters of John offer many helpful lessons, but if I were to distill one lesson from each, it might be:

From Hebrews: The supremacy and sufficiency of Christ. Throughout Hebrews, the author emphasizes that Jesus Christ is greater than the prophets, angels, and Moses. The letter draws attention to the central role of Christ as the ultimate mediator between God and humanity. It stresses the importance of faith in Christ for salvation. It calls us to place our trust entirely in Christ in recognition of His unique role in our redemption and salvation.

From the three letters of John: The importance of love and fellowship within the Christian community. In three brief letters, John emphasizes that love for one another is evidence of true discipleship. He reminds us to love one another fervently. He warns against hatred, division, and false teachings. Additionally, John stresses the importance of fellowship among believers by calling for mutual support, encouragement, and accountability. He calls us to develop genuine love within the Body of Christ. That will strengthen and sustain our Christian life.
