NMI (Nazarene Missions International) Resources

TL;DR:
This webpage is a comprehensive missions resource hub for NMI leaders. NMI is the way the denomination mobilizes church members for world evangelism through prayer, education, giving, and hands-on mission experiences. The organization challenges congregations to pray for missionaries, give sacrificially, involve all ages in global mission awareness, and encourage people to respond when God calls them to go.

Afterword: What's the Purpose of NMI?

Nazarene Missions International (NMI) is an organization within the Church of the Nazarene, a global evangelical Christian denomination. Its purpose is to mobilize support for the denomination's global mission efforts. NMI serves to educate and inspire members of the Church of the Nazarene regarding the church's evangelism, discipleship, and humanitarian aid activities worldwide.

The three tasks of Nazarene Missions International are:

  1. Mobilization: NMI aims to mobilize individuals and congregations to support global missions work. This involves raising awareness about the importance of world evangelism, providing resources, and encouraging people to get involved through prayer, giving, and service.
  2. Global Awareness: NMI provides opportunities to help people understand the biblical basis for missions, the needs of the world, and the various ways they can contribute to global mission efforts.
  3. Support: NMI raises support for missionaries and world mission projects. This support may involve raising funds, sending supplies, mobilizing prayer support, and providing encouragement to those serving cross-culturally in more than 160 world areas.

What is Nazarene Missions International? It is an organization that gets Christ-followers involved in fulfilling the Great Commission globally. By doing that, NMI helps the Church of the Nazarene fulfill its stated mission of making Christlike disciples in all nations.
